In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the story begins with the death of King T’Challa, leaving Wakanda in deep mourning. Queen Ramonda and Princess Shuri struggle to cope with their loss while trying to protect their nation. Without the Black Panther to defend them, Wakanda becomes vulnerable to outside forces that want access to vibranium, the powerful metal that makes the country so advanced.
As global powers attempt to find vibranium elsewhere, a new underwater civilization called Talokan is discovered. Its leader, Namor, feels threatened by the surface world and blames Wakanda for exposing vibranium to the rest of the planet. Namor approaches Queen Ramonda with an ultimatum: Wakanda must help him fight the surface nations, or Talokan will declare war against Wakanda.
Meanwhile, Shuri works on recreating the heart-shaped herb, the source of the Black Panther’s powers, which was destroyed in the previous film. After several attempts, she succeeds and becomes the new Black Panther. However, she is filled with anger and a desire for revenge after Namor attacks Wakanda and causes great destruction.
The conflict between Wakanda and Talokan leads to an intense battle on the ocean. Wakanda devises a plan to isolate Namor from water, weakening him. Shuri confronts him in a final fight, and although she has the chance to kill him, she chooses mercy instead, breaking the cycle of revenge and preventing further war.
In the end, Wakanda and Talokan agree to a peaceful alliance. Shuri finally allows herself to grieve properly and honor her brother’s memory. The film closes with hope for Wakanda’s future, showing that even after loss and conflict, the nation remains strong and united.
