Guardians of the galaxy: After their previous adventures, the Guardians are now traveling together as a team across the galaxy. They are hired by the Sovereign, a powerful alien race, to protect valuable batteries, but Rocket steals some of them, angering the Sovereign and putting the team in danger.
Meanwhile, Peter Quill (Star-Lord) discovers that his father, Ego, is alive and a powerful celestial being. Ego takes Peter to his homeworld and begins teaching him to use his celestial powers. The Guardians confront Ego in a final battle. With teamwork and courage, they defeat him, stopping his plan. Along the way, Yondu, Peter’s adoptive father figure, sacrifices himself to save Peter, showing the true meaning of family. The movie emphasizes that family is not just about blood but about the people who care for each other.
By the end, the Guardians remain a close-knit team, ready to continue protecting the galaxy, and the movie mixes action, humor, and emotional moments, all set to a soundtrack of classic ’70s and ’80s music.
